Afruca is a London based charity that we have decided to support. The charity is set up to work with young Nigerian people trafficked into the UK into domestic slavery,
It was great to meet Debbie Ariyu and her team, and was humbling to meet six of the young women that the charity is helping. As all the young women have current legal cases against the 'families ' that imprisoned them we had to shoot them with their identities hidden. We chose Yellow to shoot the portraits on as the colour represents hope.
The Afruca collection is coming soon and will be one of the philanthropy projects exhibited at the JAG Launch later this year.
